Costa Rica lies between 8 degrees and 12 degrees latitude north of the Equator. The day length and temperature does not change all that much throughout the year. The mountains can be around 50-55 degrees Fahrenheit (12 degrees Celsius) with some wind and cooler nights, while the beach destinations reach 85-95 degrees Fahrenheit (30+ degrees Celsius) with humid conditions.
Costa Rica weather has two main seasons; the Green (wet) Season which runs from June to November and High Season which is from December to May. You will find much more rain in the Green Season. Many people feel that you should travel to Costa Rica during the High Season; this is typically the warmer, drier months but you will find it fairly busy during these months.
